Expectations and Code of Conduct for IECA Sponsored College Tours

IECA Sponsored Tours are arranged by the IECA office staff and are available to all consultants on a first-come, first-served basis. Because the IECA is sponsoring the tours, it is important that all participants be willing to abide by the following guidelines.

Campus Tours

College and School Tour Guide IECA Member Tour Guide
Download the members-only IECA College and School Tour Guide (updated 2-24-10), which includes tour contact names, phone numbers, and email addresses. This online Tour Guide is updated monthly and is password protected; members have received the password via email. If you cannot locate it, contact IECA at 703-591-4850, or at info@IECAonline.com.

Chapel Haven West and the SALT Center
Tuesday and Wednesday, April 13 & 14, 2010
Tuscon, AZ
IECA consultants are invited to meet students and staff and tour Chapel Haven West. Then tour the SALT Center on the campus of the University of Arizona, including a general tour of the University. Chapel Haven West and SALT serve young adults with disabilities. Dinner and overnight stay at the Marriott University Park Hotel, courtesy of Chapel Haven West. IECA consultants are invited to visit these traditional boarding schools. Pick up and return will be from the conference hotel. Complimentary Ontario winery lunch will be provided between campuses. Appleby and Ridley serve the traditional boarding school student who does not need significant differentiated instruction in the classroom. The Gow School

Pick up 8:00 a.m., return 3:30 p.m.
The Gow School invites IECA members on a tour of their school. Gow is a preparatory school for boys grades 7 – 12, diagnosed with dyslexia or similar language-based learning differences. Pick up from the conference hotel at 8:00 a.m. and returning at 3:30 p.m.. Meet with students, attend classes, tour the campus, and have lunch. EduNova and its ten participating universities welcome IECA consultants. Fly into Halifax, Nova Scotia on your own. Food, lodging, and transportation between universities will be paid from the point of arrival until the point of departure. Plan to arrive prior to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday; if you are traveling on Saturday, lodging will be available. There are several flights a day if you’re flying from Toronto (about a two-hour flight). Bay State Consultant Tour
Sunday – Wednesday, May 16 - 19, 2010
If needed, schools will also provide lodging Saturday evening May 15 for those registered for the tour. This tour is being offered directly after the IECA Spring Conference in Toronto, Canada. The schools are located in Massachusetts.

IECA consultants are invited to visit Fessenden School, The Cambridge School of Weston, Hillside School, Lawrence Academy, Dana Hall School, Cushing Academy, and The Winchendon School.
