SPEED MEETINGS
‘One-On-One’ Meetings Between Consultants And Schools Or Programs

At our Fall 2009 conference we introduced a new opportunity for schools, therapeutic programs, and consultants to share information in a relaxed, quiet, and interactive atmosphere. Due to its success, we are pleased to bring back the “Speed Meetings” opportunities as a pre-conference event in Toronto.

On Wednesday morning, May 12, from 8:30am to 12:00 noon, we will host the School and Therapeutic Speed Meetings events that will feature up to 40 traditional boarding schools and up to 40 therapeutic programs. During these events, school and program representatives will have the chance to meet with one or two consultants for a seven-minute private sharing session. After seven minutes the consultants will shift and the next seven-minute session will begin.

Each consultant will meet with approximately 20 schools or programs and each school or program will meet with about 20 consultants. The final portion of each event will provide for an exclusive networking opportunity to ensure all attendees get to meet each other. A special packet with detailed information on participating schools/programs will be distributed. As a pre-conference event, interested schools/programs will need to apply for participation. The application can be found in our online registration system. Participating representatives must be registered for the conference. Up to two speed participants per school/program are permitted.

If you need further information, contact conference manager, Rachel King at 703-591-4850 (ext 16) or Rachel@IECAonline.com.

IECA Semiannual Conferences
IECA's semi-annual conferences are attended by consultants, school, college and program admissions officers, administrators and staff, and related service companies. Conferences feature thought-provoking and informative workshops and discussions led by leaders in their fields including specialists in educational trends, college admissions and boarding school issues, adolescent development, learning differences, and emotional disorders and treatments. Continuing education hours are available. Full and half-day pre-conference trainings and campus tours are typically offered. Our two-hour "Information Swaps" are College, School & Program Fairs that allow for increased networking among consultants and admissions/program representatives. And our Vendor Hall allows attendees to visit the exhibits of companies who do not work directly with students, but who provide related resources (i.e. publications, software, equipment, financing, etc.).
